Francisco Santacruz is an accomplished Music Composer for Films and Television, Arranger, Sound Designer and Music Editor. He began to play music when he was 12 years old; he learned to play piano and guitar and quickly realized that music was his passion. When he was 18 years old he began his studies at Academia de Música Fermatta (Mexico City), at this point he already knew how to play the mandolin, electric bass and drums. In 2004, he furthered his studies at Berklee College of Music (Boston, Massachusetts) where his love of music was cemented. At Berklee he studied under the renowned professors including Mr. Richard Davis, Mr. Sheldon Mirowitz, Mr. Eric Reasoner, Mr. Tom McGah, Mr. Stephen Webber, Mr. George Monseur. After much dedication he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Film Scoring in 2007. Since then he has been very active in the Film Composing scene.

He has participated in Film Scoring Competitions and Composing Competitions, such as: Lutolawski Award 2008 (Poland), 3rd International Schiedmayer Celesta GmbH Composition Competition (Germany), 2007 Berklee College Film Scoring Competition (United States), just to mention a few.

He currently resides in Mexico City where he is busy composing music for films, short films, documentaries and animated films.
